Hello!
Split Sun Arts, is an informal community collaboration project between two potters, Brooke Waldron and Meg Riley. This casual partnership is addressing gaps in arts accessibility, a developing project to provide creativity, exploration and collaboration.
Split Sun Arts is an extension of our own art practice with the intention of hosting clay and creative workshops for the community. Sessions will be hosted at various locations and will always include all materials and equipment for participants.
Interested individuals must register ahead of each session, and questions can be directed to splitsunarts@gmail.com.
Workshops
The next workshop with both myself and Brooke will be on April 17th, at Uconn Avery Point!
We will be running a walk-up workshop for any college student to create a sgraffito wall hanging! ​
Pieces will be created on the spot, and then fired, glazed, and fired again in our home studios to be delivered to Avery Point at a later date.
